From the President's desk

Dear AMD Members, 

We launched the Association of MD Physicians (AMD) , setting out to figure out which benefits were most valued by the greatest number of foreign medical graduates and MD Physician’s, identify places where we could find better ways to direct or maintain them, and see where we could be falling short especially those facing any kind of litigation. To keep everyone connected and everything on track, we created a society of foreign medical graduates and MD Physician’s whose life members had access to responsible office staff. In the context of increased violence against the medical fraternity, AMD is considered as the need of the hour. 

We wanted to consolidate our activities in such a way to create transparency and encourage communication. We also wanted to find ways to ensure all foreign medical graduates and MD Physician’s that any amendments we made would be made with the consensus of our life members. 

Another continuing priority is fostering interest in our specialty and onboarding new-in-practice foreign medical graduates and MD Physician's. We learn from one another through the AMD, and much of what we learn begins with something proposed or launched by members at the grassroots. We encourage members to start state chapters as well as international chapters of AMD with autonomous power.
